Low price, but speakers are wrong size. 6-1/2's could go on a plate to fill in the hole, but the 6x9's are too big.

You will be amazed at how good the OEM speakers sound if you get a good head unit to power them.

I put a higher powered Sony unit in the Trac with all the features I wanted for less than $200. Crutchfields sends you all the wiring harnesses and adapter plates for free.

My plan was to upgrade the speaker after the head unit.

After listening to the stock speakers with a decent head unit, I've decided to keep them, at least for the time being.

An amp with a decent THD rating makes a HUGE difference!

I'm guessing the stock unit's distortion was close to 10%!

Tears up the speakers and hurts your ears.

with all due respect to Jerry C. I would implore you to change out the stock speakers.

I picked up my 07 ST in dec 07, within a week I replaced the stock speakers and head unit. I did the speakers first, it was the biggest jump. in fact, I considered sending the head unit back, I ended up changing the head unit as well, but in my opinion, it did not change the sound that much. When you pull out the oem speakers you will see they look like they were designed in 1985.

ok, that is my 2 cents. good luck.
