I have a 2004 with the 6 cd in dash and recently I keep getting a bad disk error with my CD's. I know the disks are good cause they are the orginal CD not a copy. The Cd player makes a butt load of clicking sounds and finally displays a bad disk error, then takes a very long time to eject the disk. It happens in any slot.

Any help would be great.

one word. warranty.

I just had my single disk player replaced under warranty because it decided it wasn't going to eject my disk. If it's still under warranty go ahead and get a new one.

I had the same issue with my 6 CD....after a few error statements it decided not to eject any of the CD's. I took it to Ford, they messed with it at the shop and finally said that they would just go ahead an replace the unit.

Try to reset the unit. There are two fuses for the radio, they will both need to be pulled for the memory to be totally reset. One fuse is for memory retention the other is for actually power to the unit.
