Gen 1 is the first generation, which are all essentially the same era model. Anything before '07 is Gen 1.



Gen 2 is the updated model based on the Explorer platform. It was released in '07.



You have a Gen 1.

A Gen 1 is a Trac with a model year from 2001 to 2005, and a Gen 2 is any Trac from 2007 up, therefore you have a Gen 1.
