Console swap

I want to swap my small, bag console for a full console and am having trouble finding one and don't know exactly which ones will fit. My ST is an '05 and I've found one in a 04 Explorer but i'm not sure if 04-05 Explorer is the same as my '05 ST. I've already found that you can't trust the wrecking yards for info. The cost of shipping leaves out my usual way of doing stuff, the trail and error method. Any and all help that can offered would be greatlly appreciated. Thanks, Bob S.

I afraid I didn't make my queston clear. I'm sure it's elemental to most of you on the forum but it's soemthing that I don't know and the salvage yards don't know or their software isn't accurate. My question is will the full console from an '04 Explorer fit in my '05 ST. I am of the opinion that the 04-05 Explorer is deminsionally the same as the 04-05 STs, but not sure.

Can you clear this up for me? Bob

The '04 Sport Trac interior is based on the Ranger and the '98-'01 Explorer. The '04-'05 Explorer interior is completely different. Hell, the floorplan and everything else about the '04-'05 Explorer is completely different from the '04 Sport Trac for that matter. So I doubt that a '04 Explorer console will fit your '04 Trac.

After re-reading our posts I have another question. a full console out of what year models will fit in my '05 ST or does it have to be out of another '05? I promise this will be my last.!!!
