I currently have the Nokia Cark-91 car kit installed in my 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac and love it. But changed phones to the Motorola V551. Motorola offers a car kit S9950A and it appears to be the exact same parts except for it does not utilize an external antenna and the phone cup is different of course. The phone cup is purchased separately to fit the phone.
Can I use some or all of the Nokia kit with the Motorola phone cup? Will it work with my new phone or do I have to purchase the entire kit?
The $150 for the entire kit is still cheaper than one accident that would probably occur without it.
I looked at the bluetooth kits, but they are twice the price.
