I saw this on the local news yesterday. The website is supposed to have 'early information' on the sales/prices at retailers that people go nuts over on the day after Thanksgiving.

Here is another one. You must enter your email address for the newsletter to receive the Black Friday List, you will not be spammed. This is a very valid site. I have ordered many a good deal posted on this site. If you are into electronics and gadgets check this site on a daily basis.

Ahh. Black Friday. The question is: is it worth it to stand in line and fight the crowds? Last year I sent my wife out. She loves shopping. Me, I do all of my shopping on line.

TomT: I agree... shopping via mouse/keyboard far superior and more efficient than that rat race at the malls. Black Friday is an appropriate name for that dark day.

I would never do significant amounts of shopping that day--but if there is a specific item I see in an ad that is at an unusually exceptional price, I can be convinced to stand in line at the store before they open, and once the doors open, get the item, go straight to the checkout, and head home for the rest of the day.

If they were selling ST's for $100, I might venture out on Black Friday. My wife, her sister and mother always love to go, even if they're not looking for anything.

That's my all day long day in a tree with a .308 ;)

I worked retail when I first graduated from college. That must explain why I hate the $$$ side of Christmas.
