door handles

has anyone replaced the door handles on a 2001 ST?

Mine broke during the crazy -40 degree weather we had last winter....not sure where to start

Check YouTube for DIY videos. Site 1AAuto sells parts and has a ton of videos. Scotty Kilmer and EricTheCarGuy have good videos but aren't also parts sources.

Not a bad repair, but new handles come painted generic black. Try to get it painted or maybe get a used one on your color.

I hate to do this on this board but you need to read through this thread even though others chime in about latch repair too. This will give you a good idea on how to tackle your handle replacement. Pay close attention to Post #61 at the top of page 4. That's MY post showing a picture of the stainless steel hardware you need to make the job easy and solid. Replacing these handles are a bit time consuming when doing it your first time but the next one's after are a breeze and take much less time. Read through all the pages to get tips from everyone.
