i dont think there is any adapter available. i believe the actual dash cavity is a din and 3/4. i have the kenwood ddx-7017 in my o4' and i had to trim the upper and lower "lips" in the dash opening, but it fit like a glove (i also trimmed the trim ring that came with the radio so that it fit without any gaps). hope this helps
no, just the dash opening. try to fit the Z1 in it to see how much needs to be trimmed off. the only other problem you may have is actually mounting the unit so it wont move. i used a bracket off a standard ford dash kit, the one that mounts to the back of the aftermarket unit and slides on the plastic rail beneath the factory radio (with the factory radio removed, youll be able to see what im talking about). then all you have to do is keep the unit from sliding back and forth, which i just used a backstrap and screwed it in behind the dash. did that make ANY sense??? ( im not too good with words )
Jeff, this is the kit I used to install (2) single din units. Like trevor said you will have to do some triming. I used a drimel to get it done quickly. I have yet to take any pics. If you would like to see it, I will post some tomorrow after I install Sirius in my car. Just let me know. Hope this helps.
That's the kit I used for (2) single dins. Chek locally for the kit, online says $25 but I got mine for $15 locally. The kit I had befor this was $15 as well, so I think that's the norm for these kits. I'll get some pics for you as well.
BKFMK552 id the kit neede to the double din installation. you may need to modify the interior of the dash a bit to get it to fit but other than that sligh modification is needed.
I had my Bezel customized to fit the IVA-W200 from Alpine. I will get some pics up tomorrow. I don't have the "before install" pics yet (installer has them on his camera) but I can capture some post install pics if you want to see what it looks like. I posted the "2003 Sport Track XLT "naughty" AV install posting...
