DPFE P/N

List: The wifes CEL came on a while ago. I pulled the negative battery cable for 15-20 minutes which cleared the CEL. She made some trips around town and the CEL came back on (as expected).



A trip to AutoZone and using their "free" services revealed a P0401 code...egr...yada...yada...yada



From what I found on this great site I suspect that its the DPFE. I see that FOMOCO "extended" the warranty to 60k on this part on "certain ST but that...from what I gather the dealer will charge xxx$$$ buch diagnose the code first....a "service" one liable for.



Im tempted to just purchase the DPFE and install it but Ild like to get the current correct P/N and see if I can get it online.



So what is the current correct P/N and are there any recommendations on where to purchase it?

THE DPFE IS CHEEP JUST GO TO DEALER AND GET THE CORRECT PART AND WHEN YOU GET IT IT HAS A 12MO 12000MI WARRANTY

I'm an idiot, can someone break down the acronyms: CEL, DPFE, and FOMOCO

CEL= Check Engine Light

DPFE= sensor that works in corrilation with the EGR (Exahast Gas Recirculator) sensor.

FOMOCO= Is a name of FOrd MOtor COmpany
