Reminds me of that "gun saftey expert" who discharged his weapon into his leg during a gun saftey lecture in the front of a classroom full of children.

An old neighbor of mine once shot his wife inside the house. He was upstairs and shot at a bird sitting on the floor, the bullet went through the floor and struck his wife in the kitchen. It was luckily only a superficial wound.

(without any facts to support it) Most accidents could be avoided if a few simple, common sense things takes place.

I just hope that kid got scared enough to never think a gun is a toy again. I hope whomevers gun that is isn't allowed to ever keep a gun again.

The fact that it came out of his hand leads me to believe it is a genuine video. Seeing things like this makes it easy to see how innocent deaths happen.

Every day when I get home I remove my belly band, wrap it around my gun, place it in my wall safe and spin the knob.

Let me tell you. It is the BIGGEST pain in the butt to open the safe every days since it is on my person 5 days a week. But I will take that over going to the funeral of one of my children....

That said, even at the age of 8 and 12 they were very well educated on what to do if they find my gun laying around. We have tested them and they did exactly as they should have.

They came and found my wife and said they found my gun on the table, (yes it was a setup and yes I had unloaded it and removed the magazine).
