Last time the Canadian ST Saga........

We found a "flaw" in the windshield and small rust spots all over the roof of the cab....

This Episode.....

Ford replaced the front windshield... They didnt want to and told me to leave it be. But the location of the "flaw" allowed water somehow to get into it. Now if i would have left this over the winter and ice melted and got into this "flaw" and then froze.. CRACK!!! Would have left a HUGE crack in the windshield and Ford would NOT cover that...... So.. i got them to replace it..

On to the "ENVIROMENTAL FALLOUT". FOr those of you who do not know of this, car companies are using this term to describe flaws in paint on newer and sometimes older Vehicles. Its is small particles of metal that are in the are, yes we breath them in. They somehow get into the paint, under the paint, or eat through the paint, and can eat away at clearcoat, paint and metal!!

DUN DUN DUN!!! *that was my dramatic sound editing*

So round one, they took my ST for a day did the window AND gave my ST an "ACID WASH". This should romove all particles from "Enviromental Fallout" then repolish the ST and return it to me good as new... Thats what was SUPPOSED to happen.

From what it looked like, they didnt do a THING. Rust spots still on the roof, over 10 still CLEARLY visable. The body shop MANAGER told me they watched it twice!.... After showing him the flaws STILL on the ST.. He said well maybe they only did it once... So now i have the BODY SHOP MANAGER LYING to me.... I thought canadians were the good guys.. always happy, never lying... Bah its a Myth!!!!

So for ANOTHER DAY, they will take in my ST, RE Acid Bath it and see if it helps.. If not they will have to sand down and repaint the roof to get rid of these Rust spots... OH!! AND.. they have to fix the nice scratch they made on the front fender.....

Will the ST be saved? Will the Manager Continue to Lie?!

Check in next Week!! Same ST Time!!! Same ST Channel..... ;)

The body shop MANAGER told me they watched it twice!....

Maybe that was the problem. Instead of watching it, it should have been washed!

Just kidding:D I hope your problem gets resolved!

AND.. they have to fix the nice scratch they made on the front fender.....

If they only babied our Tracs as if they owned it...

Same thing happened to me. The Ford bodyshop buffed it out but I can still detect it (being picky as I am), but I made no fuss. Don't sweat the small stuff right???

rust spots....how big exactly? I had brake dust rust spots on my truck, they came off with a clay bar and some elbow grease

Some are about the size of a Pen tip.. 4 are about 4cm big and yes RUST.. I have rebuilt several OLD vehicles(72 chevelle, 55 Chev 3100, ect) and i know rust.... Which suprised me.. Last thing i expected to see on my 2005....

ALSO.... FISH EYES All over the paint job! never noticed it before and i looked GOOD.. Was in the light and a glare hit it.. and myself and the Manager Noticed it.. Not worthwhile fixing but MAN.. What else could go wrong?!?!!

*knock on wood*

Last car was driven over by a BUS.. i should watch what i say..
