HI Guys,

Just wondering if somebody have a Leak problem with their Tonneau cover,

I got mine from craiglist, it looks good when i got it but i noticed that every time it rain i have a water leak in the middle where the hinges are. the rubber looks good no sign of break. Is any body have thesame problem and got it fix, i need some advice how to do it.

thanks in advance!!!

The factory Tonneau never sealed perfectly, atleast not when I had mine on. It would leak alittle where your talking about and in the back sometimes. Somoen one here will be able to help you out with a fix solution.

If you search the archives you should find a project or at least a post on the problem. Someone, forgot who, removed the rivots on the hinges, sealed the seam and reassembled using, I believe 1/4 x 20 bolts.

Don't know if there was a project done on it, but you need to drill out all the rivets in the centter section, silicone the seal, and replace with bolts...

Be prepared to spend a few hours on it. Can't remember what size bolts I used, but I did cut the ends off with my Dremel. Clearance is an issue...

i ran the black silicone to the outside of the cover, where the hinges and cover meet. then i ran a wet rag to leave a fine and clean bid. its been a few months since i did it and no problems, yet!!! i tried to get pix later.
