Well I tried IE 7 for a week, then Firefox 2.0 just came out and I'm back to Firefox. IE 7 has some quirks yet; typical Microsoft Job security built-ins (LOL).

Firefox is noticeably faster then before. Since I'm in my 1st 30 minutes of use I'm still judging but what is really cool is that it now has an inline spell check just like a word processor. It has already worked 2x for this post. I know there are a few others on this forum that could use this feature.

Just got it. Thanks. When I used Firefox 1 to "look for updates" it found none, lol. I think 2.0 is a bit of an update...

Is it the official release or still the Beta?

I've thought about downloading the Beta, but ...eh... I got enough problems hunting my own bugs without my browser giving me more.

Neverminds, it's official. I assume since the getfirefox.com page now shows it, where it used to show 1.5.7.

I'm digging the new skin. Though I lost a few extensions, FF added those extensions as part of the product itself. Thanks for the heads up, Greg.

I upgraded to Firefox 2.0 also. Love the inline spell checker, already used it plenty. Took all my extensions right from the install except for 2 of them. one was no longer needed (tabs) and the other was not compatible. so far I love it. I was going to give IE7 a try but I have no desire to now. screw microsoft.

Thanks for the heads up on FF 2. I have been using FF exclusively for a while and really like it better than IE. I have downloaded IE7 but have not seriously played around with it yet.

I just updated to FF 2 also. Really quick, and as mentioned above, the in-line spell checker is cool,,,,,,,,,pass it on!!

Whoo-hoo! About time for the inline spell checker. Safari has had this for a year and I can attest to how great a feature it is. I always missed it when I'd go to use Firefox or IE on my PC. Off to download it now.

I tried IE7. It sucks. Went back to IE6. I might try FF2. I tried the first one and I did not like it.

FF 2.0 is noticeably quicker. Don't know what they did, but it works. The spell check is cool too. It has caught me 3x on this alone. The choice of skins, automatic tabs vice new windows are all nice features. Lots of other new features listed when I installed it, so I'll have to try them all out as well.

FF 2 is a definite improvement, and my favorite Walnut theme still works with it. I was having problem with IE 7 accepting the certificates for the Air Force Portal. Firefox 2 works perfect after I selected permanent acceptance for the certificate. IE 7 didn't offer that option at all nor could I find an option to accept the certificate.
