Not for shure, I think I read some where it means there is a failure in the air bag system...

Heather, you have an issue with the SRS system. Here is at least a way to narrow it down a bit.
The next time you start your Trac it should flash out a code. It will flash the same code three times. If you have more than one code it will do the first code three times and then move onto the next code and flash it out for three times.
For example. If it goes, FLASH FLASH FLASH FLASH Then it pauses for a moment (same length as one of the flashes) and then goes FLASH FLASH. That would be a Code #42. It will be a two digit code. Flash the tens first and then the singles next. So Four FLASHES, pause, then 2 FLASHES is Code 42...
Post the code, one of us will help you from there...

I have the same problem on my '96 Taurus. I get 3 flashes (maybe four?), space, then three more (maybe four?).
I guess if anyone has an idea on that I would like to know as well.
