Another one that gets the Quicktime logo w/ the ? in both IE and Firefox. Also doesn't work if I download it.

I tried to upload the file right before I left for work. I guess it did not work. I will get it uploaded somewhere.

Tom,

Are we actually looking at/through a clear lexan rear diff cover?!?!

You know we want the "Who, What, When, Where and Why", don't you!

It is made by Trans-dapt and the name is Clear Gearz. I got it from Summit Racing. It is for the 8.8" differential.

Installation was like any other. The only difference is that you only torque the bolts to 5 Ft/LBS (60 inch/LBS).

The cover is very strong, but if torqued in incorrectly, it can crack...according to the sales rep I spoke to a year or so ago. Besides that, it is strong.

Dad ordered one for his motorhome. They had mine in stock, but the motorhome has a Dana 80 and not many use Dana 80's for their car. ;)

It is on my wife's 2000 Explorer.

The ring is to keep even pressure around the cover. it is made of Aluminum and the bolts are 304 Stainless Steel.
