NelsonOKC, I agree I am making some assumptions here. But if they are correct, then my comments stand. I personally do not want to see ANYONE hurt. And I don't mean genetic weeding literally. Why don't they sue the driver, who in turn could sue Firestone and Ford. The culprit appears to be the owner as far as the passengers are concerned. The owner may feel that the companies were negligent. I don't see where the passenger can bypass the driver and go directly to the companies. Doesn't the driver bear any responsibility in this case? If the driver was aware that the tires had a recall and he ignored it, then I feel the total responsibility is on the vehicle owner.
