I think this is a good thing that Ford is creating jobs in MI. Just what we need right now: The private sector creating jobs, not government. That's how a free-market, capitalist economy is supposed to function.



But just to be clear, the very title of this thread is wrong. Ford didn't "steal" any jobs. These jobs are already owned by Ford Motor Company and no one else. And they can do whatever they please with them, be it locate them in the US, Mexico, or just eliminate them all together.

I like this ploy. If American's see this and reward Ford for doing the right thing, everybody wins.

They already are. Ford stock has run up nicely. I made up everything I lost in my IRA and then some this past year. A lot of people are buying Fords instead of GM's because of the bailout. Mom and Dad have been Cadillac drivers for a long time (except for that brief period when my Dad lost his mind and bought a BMW) but he'll never buy another one.

I dont think it is a ploy, the article says the capacity and the technology is there in michigan, I am sure there are some politcal points here, with the governer of MI walking around the auto show and everything. Probably give them massive tax incentives.



Plus FORD might have started of noticing that cheap Jobs in mexico are more expensive when Americans have the knowledge and no job and will work for ford.





Way to go FORD restore us to our former glory.
