I have been on this forum for a couple years ago when I was in highschool and owned a 2nd gen trac after 4 years of ownership I recently sold the vehicle for what I think to be a good price considering the milage. As a 20 year old I am in the process of replacing my almost perfectly reliable daily driver with a 100k+ mile mustang or camaro wanting some cheap speed. Will update this thread once I do find the replacement but just thought it would be a neat discussion as there are arguably some modern equivalents to the sport trac such as the ranger, maverick, maybe even a ridgeline. Just curious to see if those alternative options have been common or if people are just driving something random. Looking back I have fond memories of the sport trac and respected it for being practical and unique.

No answers yet; perhaps former owners have just given up driving for walking,
having had the pleasure of a SportTrac & not wanting to settle for less? :)

I still have mine, but my neighbor next door gave his son his 2005 ST when dad's 2022 Ford Maverick arrived after waiting 7 months for it. That is a truck I would consider if it towed 7,000 lbs or so. Neighbor likes the hybrid Maverick so far after 6 months.

What don't they like about the hybrid Maverick?

I sold my 2008 Sport Trac Adrenalin to a young couple from Africa who immigrated here and wanted to buy their father a pickup truck. Well, they shipped my beloved truck over to Africa which took two months in a container. They sent me pictures of the African tribe that has the truck now! Amazing.

I sold my Sport Trac as well as the 2016 Ford Fusion to buy a 2022 Lincoln Corsair GT (PHEV) and absolutely love this small SUZ that gives me 35 miles of electric power per charge and gets 78 MPG on average.

Very cool story!

I sold my 2008 Sport Trac Adrenalin with 235,000 miles. I bought a 2009 Sport Trac Adrenalin with 53,000 miles. Both were red. Loved my first one and growing to love my second one. Have 72,000 miles on my second.

Sold my 2005 Trac and got a 2022 Maverick Hybrid. Love it! Averaging 43mpg after 15,000 miles.
