Looks like the fuel pump went at only 61K...few pumps of ether and it's .hard starting, will barley idle, no fuel coming up the rail. And of course I just filled the gas tank. Can't seem to get any tubing down the filler neck to pump out the tank, really hate to try to lower the tank (using a transmission jack) while it's full.

Anybody do the fuel pump, please let me know any ins and outs and shortcuts or important steps I need to know. Looks like a pretty straightforward job. I can disconnect the filler at the tank and probably pump most of it out before lowering it.

Ford dealer: $396 for pump assembly, Advanced Auto: $221.

Anybody have the link to any current Advance Auto coupons?

Any help, as always is greatly appreciated.

I think my fuel pump is going. Its going in spurts, sometimes I try to go and it just barely moves for few seconds then it kicks in and goes. It doesn't start too easily and idles very poorly at start up. I'd also like to hear if anyone has any ideas on this project. My track has about 180K miles though.
