Garage door opener

Nothing to do with ST's other than housing mine. I have a Sears-Craftsman 1/2 HP GDO Model # 139.53629SRT. The gears are chewed up and I was able to locate the parts at SEARS.com but I wasn't able to locate a manual for it. I took it appart no problem, but I'm worried about proper adjusments after reassembly. Does anyone know where I can download the manual on PDF format? or maybe how to make the adjustments after reassembly? Any tips will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure which model I have but it is a 1/2 hp from Sears. On the side of the motor housing there are two blue adjustments. One is for the upward movement and the other is for downward movement. They are screw settings and there is a diagram indicating which direction to make the adjustment. Good Luck with it...

Yeah what Les was saying....just set the screws for the minimum setting.....after a couple cycles...You can dial in the proper height at open and close positions. Try 1/4 turn adjustments at first. I turned mine some 3 or 4 times to get the right heights.
