Hello and looking for advice. Sport Trac 2010 XLT rear passenger door not locking or unlocking when using key fab and/or when using interior power door locking system. Any advice or a fix? My first guess would be the locking rear door actuator, am I wrong? Looking for thoughts on this topic. Merry Christmas and thank you in advance.

Wanted to see if the Sport Trac peeps had any input?

Is it just the one door?

Is the actuator trying but the lock is not moving (can you hear it clicking)?

Is the actuator getting power?

Is the door button getting power?

Is the master button (drivers door) outputting power to that door?

If it is not trying and it is getting power then that points to the actuator itself.

Thank you for the questions to diagnose and see below answers:

1. Just rear driver-side door
2. I assume its getting power and just not working
3. Driver/passenger side master power door locks working on all doors.
4. Appears to be actuator I assume if all other locks are working as they should.

Thanks again..

1... That's " good", narrows it down.

2... Can't assume. It would suck to spend the money and ample aggravation to replace the actuator without testing it first.

3... Confusion. You can lock it from the front driver's door?

4... Again, can't assume. If there is a broken wire or a bad switch, that's an easy fix. Replacing the actuator is aggravating, not much room to work inside a door.
