"family oriented" ????

Since when do 8 year olds own cars???

Now THAT is funny!!

Reminds me of a few years ago doing a benefit for charity. A local bar owner donated two of her clubs for a night to raise Christmas toy money for Toys For Tots. The bands were a mish mash of members of the most popular local bands and each "new" band would work up a set of material. Really cool if you were into the local scene. The singer in my band was making some off color jokes about marital aids and "Toys For Tots" (screwed up a word, think Emily Latella from SNL). Someone gave him some grief from the crowd and his reply was "This benefit is FOR the little kids, but none of them are HERE!". Brought the house down.

Would you be the least bit offended if someone said, "For those of you who are still caught up in schoolyard potty humor, the degradation of women, and the promotion of one night stands and unmarried sex, which has led to the breakdown of family values and a society where morals hardly exist anymore, then by all means go see it, you are just the type of person who will love it!"?

Really? I'm wanting to see this movie more and more, so maybe I'll go this weekend.

Oh and on the whole morals thing, I consider myself to have pretty high morals, but I also know that it's for entertainment and not a documentary. If this kind of stuff offends you, you've probably never heard a stand up comic, never listened to rock/rap music, and don't watch TV at night, or if you do those things, you don't enjoy them, which makes me wonder why you would do them in the first place....never mind, I've gone and confused myself.

Took our kids to the oldest Drive-In in the country, Shankweiler's in PA. Saw a double feature of "Sky Kids" and "War of the Worlds", both where GREAT, and we can't wait to go again. $22 for a family of 5 to see two great films. The kids got to run around and play with others before and between the films, and the concession stand had moderately priced snacks...but you can always bring your own.

Agh, just like the good old days.
