This is what i call civilized(sp) camping. camp fire, Propane Stove, battery powered light, WIRELESS INTERNET

Oh yeah, Music and DVD's on the 15" screen, who wants to watch war or the worlds with me, or batman begins?

The future is so bright ... oh wait that is the LCD screen ....

:rolleyes:I'm going to tell the camp counselors on you! Oh, wait, it's not Girl Scout camp anymore.;)

I go for a bit more uncivilized camping. Got a 5 day backpacking trip to the bottom of the Grand Canyon booked in Oct. No cell phone towers withing the park boundaries, so I'll be completely OFF LINE. Looking forward to being unhooked from the world for a week!

Monkeyboy, what was the filename of the War of the Worlds movie you got? I have been looking for it since it came out, and I keep getting fakes and copies of the original movie.

I downloaded Batman Begins, and liked it so much I went and saw it in a theater. Also looking for "Bad News Bears" b/c I saw that one last night and it was really funny.

Don, there are 3 wi-fi places for FREE in Florence. Figured I could cruise the net on my laptop while sitting in the truck waiting for a job to call in. BUT,, my laptop will not pick up anything at all 3 places.. Went in to talk to them and they say it works within 100 ft of the building... I'm running xp on my laptop. Have I maybe missed something?

LaRue, I had the same experience at a campground in FL... I could seee the network, but I could not connect, even inside the building. I could use their cat5 no problem. In several hotels along the road to VA, I could connect just fine, so maybe they have a problem there, or I needed to do something special.

LaRue: Most places that have free wireless work without any configuration. However, I've stayed in some hotels where you have to get the SSID from the desk clerk in order to get into the system.
