Hi folks... been off the board for some time now, been pretty busy.
Left the family in VA and reported to a ship in FL, and immediately left on a deployment to South America, and we have very limited internet access compared to previous ships I have been on.
So far, in 30 days, we have been to Panama, Lima Peru, and Mejillones Chile, with another visit sked to a better port in Chile in a few days. All I can say is that life is good and I am having a great time. We crossed the equator and had a great "Shellback Ceremony" for those that have done that before.... pushed it to the limit and had a great time doing so.
Be back to the states in about 2 months for a couple of weeks and then we head up north for some more exercises, and a couple of great port visits. I really enjoyed my time spent in the Med and gulf on previous deployments, but this trip to South America has ROCKED!
The ST is in good hands with a buddy of mine, gets washed and driven once a week, but I miss it....
