H.I.D Problem

I just installed a H.I.D. conversion kit for my headlights on a 2002 ST I only have on problem its the daytime running lights. When I start my truck in the daytime the headlights come on but there is only 7 or 8 volts sent out to the ballest but they nees 12 volts to work correctly, what is happeneing is that light flicker but when I turn the headlight switch to on everything is ok. The set i have is a plug and play kit connects directly to the light harness no cutting of wires involves, I was told that i could connecting a 12 volt relay to power the ballest but was not sure how looking for some input....

Yes a relay would work perfectly...

OR turn off or just disconnect the DRL lights..

When I hooked mine up i just pulled the fuse on my DRL's

I would just pull the DRL fuse.
