Stumbled across a set of LED headlights on Ebay and was wondering if anyone has used them?http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-X-H10-9145-9140-High-Power-White-12-SMD-LED-Headlight-Bulbs-Driving-Fog-Light-/251536573798?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a90bf8566&vxp=mtr

I decided on HID instead due to LED's not bright enough. AT least at this time. I've been happy with the 55 WATT HID systems. Much brighter.

I have HID also, thanks to Bob C, and I think it's the best way to go. When had I my 01 Trac, I had a special harness for the headlights that took power directly off the battery with fuses. It made a big difference in brightness, especially if you upgrade the bulbs. If I can find it, and you're interested, I'll sell it for half price.

The new LED headlight bulbs that are coming out are bright, at least on the Tundras. I have been thinking about a set also but am waiting for a while to see how the people that are running them like them. From what I have seen they don't scatter the light in non projector housings like HIDs do.

Like L1tech said, new LED bulbs are very bright. On "paper" they seem to be brighter than OEM halogens and have the same bulb "distance" as the OEM bulbs. The reoccurring issue with running HID kits is the glare they produce. Since the HID bulb isn't the same length or distance ratio as the OEM bulb, the OEM reflectors do not project the light properly, potentially producing glare to oncoming traffic. (some HID users can chime in on this topic) However, the new CREE LED bulbs being produced, match the OEM bulbs, ths reducing the glare. I will be trying a set shortly and can report back.
