Headlights blinked off

the head lights on my 177000 mile 2001 trac blinked off the other night at 12:30 am!! brights were not on or being used..just driving down the road and off they went and then i think they came back on on their own..i did reach for the switch to jiggle it etc...but i really think they just came back on themselves...



they were off for about 3-5 seconds.



has this happened to anyone else and is there a way i could head off this happening again?

Try tilting your steering column up. Ther I a flaw in the wirring . Too short of wire in the column tends to come unpluged of the wire pulls loose..

Do a search in the projects.
