headliner question

The upholstery on the slide cover for my '01 sunroof is beginning to separate. Is the slide cover a part of the headliner or part of the sunroof? Does it come out with the headliner? Or can it be removed after the headliner is removed? An local upholstery shop said they think it's part of the sunroof and they won't do sunroofs.

Why doesn't the trim shop repair it while it is still inplace? Tell them anyone can spray adhesive while it's lying on a table.
