Hi, I just bought a 2005 Sport Trac 4 x 4 Adrenalin that has heated leather seats. For some reason the switch on the passanger seat won't shut off with the engine running. The light will never go out unless the engine is off. I test drove a 2004 Adrenalin as well that did the same thing. Sometimes the seat would heat and other times it would not.

Has anyone else had this problem and know a cure?

Thank you,

Mark

First of all:

:welcome:!

Those switches are notorious for going bad. I've replaced two in my '04 Trac over the last seven years. You can buy a replacement switch from our site sponsor, Torrie for ~$20 + shipping. It's easily replaced. Pops right out of the seat trim. See the link below.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the info and welcomes. I'm excited about getting my Sport Trac. I actually sign the papers on it tonite. It took quite a while to find just the right one I wanted and I know I'll be happy with it.

I look forward to learning more about my new toy at this site.

Thanks again.

Mark

Heated seat switches have been a problem. Either the switch goes bad or people accidently bump the switch while trying to adjust the seat.

One member here moved the seat heater switches to the console with an LED light to indicate when they were on/off. That's probably the best solution.

You might just want the dealer to fix that seat switch before you take deliver??
