Still on my honeymoon. Stopping off in LA for a day and a half before we go home. Went deep sea fishing in the Pacific Ocean. Got two Mahi Mahi's. One was 45" long and the other was 41". Nice looking Fish. The larger one was a bull. Both awesome fish. The cruise was nice and out time in Waikiki was fun. Drove a Mustang convertable around the island. It was nice.

See you all soon.

Were you able to eat any of the Mahi Mahi? That is one of my favorite. I grew up eating fish :)

Did you try surfing while you in Waikiki? That is the best place on earth to learn. Glad to see you had a good time on the honeymoon.

Yes, we ate some of it. It was awesome. Nothing like eating fish that was living a few hours before cooked. I did not even atempt to surf. Just didn't have time.

By the time we arrived in Waikiki on monday after going to the Arizona memorial, all we had time for a was dinner. The next day we went to the Polynesian Cultrial Center. That took a full day. Drive around the city in a drop top vehicle was great. Then thursday we went fishing and left on friday. Just didn't have time. Theresa and I both agree, the highlight of the trip are these pictures...

We also did the Haleakala Sunrise downhill, the "Road to Hana", the Volcano's national park, a 4x4 off-road adventure, and other things. It was a busy two weeks (almost) but absolutly worth it. Wanted to snorkle, but again, just didn't have time. Besides that we have no regrets on anything we did. We spent thousands, and I mean thousands, of dollars and it was worth every penny. I would do it all over in a heartbeat.

Tom,

Congrats my friend to you and Theresa. I had missed the post where you got married. I hope you have many many years of happyness ahead of you.

Looks and sounds like you had a great time on the island.

The let down from the whole trip was the Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor. It wasn't the actual memorial itself, it was the other visitors. Talk about rude and disrespectful. Few people actually removed their hats while at the site. Others bounced around with big smiles on their faces like they were in line for a roller coaster. For crying out loud, around 1,000 men are buried under that water. This isn't an amusement park, it is a grave site. Have some respect. It wasn't only young people. There were older people there too.

I left the memorial angry. Standing in the memorial looking at the names made me just cry and there is some bozo wearing a hat laughing about something.

Such a disgrace!!!

Tom, I would love to be able to go see it someday, but there will be some very mix emotions when I do. I lost 3 uncles that day. and I do not honestly know if I could handle being there and seeing the disrespect. Knowing me, I might have to say something.

I had 4 uncles in the harbor that day, three are still there. The forth lived until about 4 years ago, with one leg 2" shorter then the other.

Tom..glad to hear you and your better half , had a good time and all went well. Nice catch by the way, brt it was some good eating, being fresh catch..:D
