How can I get the white edges to go away? They only show up when I re-size from the original (14420 X 8285) The file is too big to put in my library (27mb). So if anyone wants to help I can send it to them. I was just wondering, does anyone have a program that will convert this file to a vector format? Would that clear up the problem? Follow the link to see what I'm talking about. Towards the bottom. THANKS:driving:

BTW: It looks great with a white background...

yea, you're better off starting from a vector graphic and then converting it to the jpeg images you need from that. Trying to convert back to vector doesn't work as well. At least back in the day when i used to do graphic design.

if you're using photoshop, one thing you might be able to do is select the logo, without any background, so the selection is just surrounding the black, then contract the selection by 1 pixel. what it looks like is the logo was created on a white background with anti-aliasing, so the "gradation" of the anti-aliasing was still selected when you tried to select the black logo. hence, which is why vector graphics are so much better then bitmaps for creating text logos.

Unfortunately i don't have the programs any more, or i'd help you out.

I GOT IT!!! I was playing around and made the large file a .png with no background and the used win7 explorer to resize the pics and yahooooo no white edges. Gary, you still have mail in a little while... THANKS... updated webpage with the good results..
