Help with sub, please!

I have an '01 with the 6 disc in dash head unit. I want to install a factory sub I got off ebay. But, I looked last ngiht and it doesnt look like I have the wiring harness that goes from the head unit to the kick panel. Is there something I am missing? Did they put the connection in a different spot on '01s? Or do I need that wiring harness also? If so, how do I get to the back of the head unit??

Thanks for any help on this. I was hoping for an quick install and hoping to not have to tear the dash all apart.

I am not 100% but I think some trucks did not come with it and some others it is tucked away in the kick panel, just burred towards the windshield..

Is there an easy way to tell?? Just look around up there to see if its there? Do you know how to get to the back of the radio to see if its plugged into it, and what I would even be looking for?

You have to remove the radio to look.....

Do you use hangers or something to insert into the holes and pull it out?? I tried on my '97 and never was able to remove it.

You can find them just about anywhere they sell radios, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, etc.

On the st you can use cut hangers, Small nails or jewelers screw drivers, the trick is to push them in and then OUTWARD toward the doors then pull



OR simply remove the 2 screws below the radio and remove the whole bezel.

Thanks. I will try that. I looked a little harder at lunch and didnt see anything hidden inside the kick panel. So, I am thinling I will need both harness'
