Hose Connection?

How does the hose that comes from the valve cover to the air intake hose connect to the air intake hose? Is there supposed to be a clamp? Is it supposed to fit tight? Mine is just really loose, and I'm sure air can be sucked in around it which isn't a good thing. See the yellow arrow in the picture.

Stacy- No hose clamp on mine either.

Good idea to add one if it's that loose.

Yeah, I slapped one on there. I feel much better about that now. I didn't clamp it down too tight but just enough so it doesn't move freely.

I installed a clamp on mine as well. :banana:

hose clamp. good idea. Better for easy removal. I put a few wraps of electrical tape on it awhile back. One day I found myself just re-wrapping dried up factory tape and anything else I saw that might need it.

Thanks for the replies. I'm surprised that Ford didn't have a clamp or something on there from the factory.
