I have a 2003 4X2 with 169000 miles. Only thing I've had to do besides routine maintenance is to replace the thermostat housing and thermostat. Runs like brand new. How long can I expect this vehicle to last?

I'm simply looking for similar stories. Thanks.

First of all,

:welcome:

As long as you do regular preventive and corrective maintenance, there's no reason it shouldn't last you another 100,000 miles. There are a few folks on here who've reported turning over 200,000 miles on their Tracs, and they're still running strong.

Only you can answer that question. At some point you will have to decide if the repairs on a vehicle out weight it's value...either market value or value to you. Perhaps repair parts will become hard to find and expensive....Perhaps vehicle technology will advance to where fuel cost too much for the gas mileage you get or current fuels may no longer be available.

267,000 plus and counting here. Had to replace the radiator a couple of weeks ago, but still running fine otherwise. Original engine, transmission, rear axle, etc.

Keep the oils changed and listen to it often enough to catch thihngs before they get bad. It'll last quite a long time. I'm aiming for 400k right now since 300k seems almost in the bag!

My '02 4X2 is gonna click over to 200,000 mles next week... No issues, except new alternator and tie rod ends... :supercool:
