April, 1967-April. 1968 here. Part of a US ArmyTactical comm team. We were all over northern half of South Vietnam

January-December 1971, Logistics Support Base Nha Be, along the river, fixing PBRs and other small crafts. Drove to Saigon every Wednesdays to pickup a week's worth of movies in Tan So Nhut Air Base.

Oct 70 - Oct 71, Phu Cat Airbase, 12th Tactical Fighter Wing, Binh Dinh Province. Base fell to NVA forces on March 31, 1975

We were winning when I left!

My father was an Air Force engine mechanic. He was in some sort of cargo plane crash over there. He won't talk of it or anything else about Vietnam.

I'm very honored to be associated thru this forum with anyone who has or who is serving. Your sacrifices are, and very well should be, greatly appreciated.

My father was drafted into the Army during Vietnam (1967), made 3 trips and got shot twice (once in the back and once in the knee) he also spent 4yrs in the middle east during desert storm. All and all he spent 26 yrs in the army and retired FINALLY in 1993. My dad use to have pretty bad flashbacks (hasnt had one in acouple yrs) and he never speaks of his time over there.

I am curretnly serving, but was not in Vietnam. For those that did serve there, you have my highest respect and I thank all of you for showing the support for those of us that are returning from Iraq. I have been to the wall and was touched deeply. We are all brothers in arms.

Didn't serve. Was making F-111's and A6A's at Grummand Aircraft out in Long Island New York. I salute all that did serve then and now. Thanks!

February 1969 to February 1970.... Served with the 69th Signal Bn, at Tan So Nhut Air Base in Saigon. Actually worked at MACV J-6 supply with runs to our supply centers around the area. Dangerous travel and will never forget the nightly B-52 drops that rocked me to sleep!!

Nov 1970 to Oct 1972 in Vietnam,3yr regular US Army...MACV SOG Logistics Op 50..out of Siagon..flew into many remote locations all over northern south 'Nam...some locations were very remote and top secret..if you ever heard about the black planes and black vehicles, some tactical some civilian, with US Embassy plates, those were ours...FYI OP 32 was the CIA..

This was the unathorized patch, we were not allowed to wear...

Thank you all, sorry they pulled you out before the job was done.

I am only 35, but my father was in the airforce during VN.

Yes Thank You, each of you.

I was also too young but remember the images on TV.

A member of a Harley site I frequent is there now, touring the country.

He is posting up some very interesting pictures, and I've included the link if you care (or maybe not) to look. You can look at other folders he has posted, his name is Blackoak.

I would be interested in your opinions if you do look at his photo posts.

My two oldest brothers served, both are 100% disabled from this. My oldest served from Oct '64 - Feb '65 when a guy in his group stepped on a land mine that killed everyone in the group except for my brother and another guy. He lost his right leg and had flashbacks for many years. My other brother served '69 - '70, I can't remember what months, he also had back injuries from landing in remote areas (paratrooper) going for weeks without treatment because they were left out in the jungle for extended periods of time.
