Greetings all,

It's been since early October that I last responded. Since then, I've moved into my new place on Ft. rucker, AL and have graduated from the US Army's Warrant Officer Candidate School. I'm now a WO1 and am eagerly awaiting to begin flight training sometime in February or early March.

My ST is doing fine, following the first 1000 miles. I haven't had any problems yet (knocking on wood at this time), and can really only complain about the ever-popular suspension and ride. Over-all it is doing well on the relatively flat roads down here, but I can definitely feel speed bumps and little gutters and ditches when driving through parking lots. Hopefully Santa is going to bring me a new sway bar from EE and some new Rancho shocks to go with it. Can any Rancho users out there recommend a good model for 4x4 XLTs?

As soon as I get all of my utilities at the new place hooked up (internet), I'll post a few pics. It's nothing special, but looks really nice after I've got it all waxxed up. Dark Stone Metallic is a really nice color and I'm glad I opted for it instead of silver.

By my count there are at least 15 different STs on our base here.

Hope all is well with you all and hope everyone is having a good holiday season. Cheers.

DD...glad you made it back to the world safe and sound...I have a 4x2 with the rancho rsx..Iam real pleased with them...the monroe reflex is the same shock and is usually cheaper...Sears puts them on sale at times, sometimes with free install...the only difference is rancho is white with a red boot over the piston rod and the monroe is siver with a steel sleeve over the piston rod...the specs are the same, both made by Tenneco...I also have the EE bar..the combo is great..

Actually, Warrant Officers are referred to as "Mister". Enlisted troops must salute US warrant officers, but not warrant officers of foreign nations.

Welcome back. My Nephew went through the same program and he is now flying in Afghanistan with the 1042 Med Evac, Oregon Army NG.

Good luck with that.

Get the Rancho RSX or the the Monroe/Napa Reflexes. Same shock, the Rancho has the boot.
