Paul & Laurie, We know exactly where you are coming from. We had to put our Timmy down May 23, 2003, he was 18 years old & was born a month before our son. Needless to say, they grew up together...four years later and we still shed tears for him.:( He sits in our entertainment center in his picture framed urn. Everytime I get to missing him I pull it out and hold him to my heart. Our thoughts are with you guys.

Sorry to hear it. We had Hobbes, our 14 year old Mastiff mix put down in September. Not a good feeling. I felt like we sold him down the river because he could still wag his tail, but in the end I know he couldn't walk anymore (he was 105lbs.), and it was for the best. He is on our mantle with a photo I took the day we had to have him put down, handsome as ever. It is like losing a member of the family, I'm sure like Hobbes, Popeye was loved and well taken care of and thats what matters. I will now go upstairs and look at my old boys photo, thinking of the good times.
