I have had the infamous rattle at between 2,600 & 3.000 RPM for a awhile now and it seems to come and go.......but I'm beginning to see a pattern ......it seems to rattle when I'm in need of a oil change ....this morning it was doing it and I went to get a oil change w/ full syntedic.....I could not get it to do it allday... even when I punch it with load of brick !

Do you guy think it might be valve related ??? Think I should use a thicker oil ?? ..Is there anything I could use to clean the valve ??? Or am I just in denial ??? I have not had the Timing Chain tenser checked yet because it does not aways do it.

The tensioner is tensioned by oil pressure.... New oil or slightly thicker oil or better oil will keep it from making noise...

See hot it goes with the synthetic for a while, IF it comes back you can go to a 10w30, but no thicker...
