internet browsers

Aloha y'all, I don't have firefox anymore and internet explorer is too slow. Do you guys have any recomendations for a new browser. For now I have XP.

Ditto. Chrome brought my old computer back to life after I restored with backup discs. Like anything new, just have to get used to it.

I like some of the features of IE, but also found it was just way too slow. A few years ago I tried Google Chrome and it blew my socks off. Much faster than IE, and the integration with your PC and mobile devices (Android or Apple) is an added bonus. I can do all my scheduling and To-Do list on any of my mobile devices or PC, and they are immediately updated on all my computers and devices.



I still have IE on my PC only because I have a few apps that I occasionally use that only work on IE and not Chrome....which reminds me to check and see if they may now have a Chrome version.:grin:

Pretty much impossible to remove IE, integrated into the OS.

Chrome for the reasons Richard said and then some.

You can remove IE from Windows XP, but not Windows 7 or 8. The newer versions of Windows uses IE as part of the Operating system for displaying data, files, etc.



A few weeks ago I installed Windows 7 on my little netbook because the support for Windows XP ended, but quickly restored it back because I did not like being forced to use IE for most operating system functions. I installed Chrome on the Windows 7 system but it ran slow like everything else did with Window 7 and IE. :fire::angry:

Almost everything is faster than IE, but some websites work better on it. I'm on another forum that is totally unstable on Firefox with Windows 7, but fine on IE. You might not want to remove IE even where you can.
