Hello All,

Made a few calls today, looking for an 05 to take advantage of the employee pricing plans. I found an 05 Adrenilan Silver, loaded, leather, sunroof etc. The salesman said the window sticker was $34,000 and with the $1000 rebate, the price would be around $29,100. What do you think? Should I wait awhile? Think it would go lower? Thoughts? Thanks Marsha

Save yourself $10,000 and buy a certified pre-owned that is only a year old. Lease returns can be a great deal. My first ST was loaded. I paid 19,900 with 21,000 miles on it. Carfax had it registered as a corporate lease return. Never a single problem, until the roll-over. Great truck. Exactly like the ones that were coming out that year, but the previous years model. I saved about $12,000 on mine. Some dealerships even offer new car incentives for certified pre-owned purchases. Just some food for thought. But I would pass on the Silver 2005. Its time for year-end model close-outs. You will find a better deal.:)

Well, I went to Nadaguides.com and built an 05 Adrenalin, 4x4, 4.10LSD, leather, moonroof, folding tonneau, and side curtain airbags. Here are the numbers:

MSRP: $35,590

Invoice: $31,800

Offer them $26K as a final offer and hand them your phone number as you walk out the door.

You will get a call back and can probably driver her off the lot for $26.5K.

(I am guessing...I haven't done research). Go to Edmunds.com, get a TMV (true market value) for your area with the options, and start 1K less than that.

Before we purhcased my wife a new 05 Pacifica, I had a deal going on a 2005 Sport Trac Adrenaline, LOADED, after employee pricing, we were at 36K CANADIAN.

Converting from CAN to US, that price seems in line with what they were offering you.

The problem with this employee pricing is that they wont even budge a penny around here. I did the old I will buy it for this much, call me if you can swing it, and no return call ;) I wanted only $1500 more off.

That's a lot of coin for me. I bought my silver 02 used February 2004. Granted it doesn't have leather and all those other fancy things...but the book value of my ST at the time was $22,000 and bought it for $19,000 including extended warranty with 20,000 miles.[Broken External Image]:

Wait until Nov or Dec. The dealers will by trying everything to sell them or they have to cough up more money if they don't get rid of it by Dec. 31. If that truck lasts on the lot until Dec., you could probably by it for around 25k or so.

I am not so sure the "employee" price is so great.

I bought my ST last Sept. and it had sticker price of $31,435.00. I got it for $24,683.50 plus tax, lic an d doc, etc...

Spot checked a couple recenmtly just to see if it was a good deal and Ithink I did better by buying last year than if I had bought this year. And I could have probably done better last year if I hadn't gotten tired of hasseling with all the salesmen. But I got mine at 78.5% of sticker price.

PS I basically got the same vehicle as the premium but w/o painted cladding, toneau cover, bed extender, 4:10 rear , the cingle CD/cassette radio, premium sportr group and comfport group. The last two made it equal to a premiun ST less painted cladding which I still don't knowif Ilikeor not.

I just got my '05 XLT Premium 4wd (not FULLY loaded, but with some extras) for $25,701.70. I had the option to get an Adrenalin, but I don't see what the point is in paying that much more for a stereo system which continues to get mixxed reviews and a few extra badges on the truck. Sounds high to me.

The Adrenalin is a cool truck- wish it was made in '03 when I bought mine. If you are comfortable with the purchase, it is true employee pricing and you can't wait for the '07, buy it!

just as a relative price... i just got an 05 in july. is an "almost" premium model, has most everything except leather and moonroof. sticker was 28,500 something.. employee price was 22, 200. go online to ford.com, and search dealer lots all over the country. you can find out if that price he said is near to what is all over, or just high for you.
