Probably to hide the fact that the guy was dead ! If the body wad discovered, they would know pretty much when he died, and credit card charges after his death would have raised a red flag....and perhaps homicide charges. The longer they could hide the fact that the guy was dead, the longer they could continue to use the credit cards.
Ya...but really sick. Hiding the body somewhere else would have been more logical than dragging it around....But then perhaps they were trying to duplicate the "Weekend at Bernie's" movie???
