Well, after four days without power, I can finally get back onto MySporttrac.com. Buffalo and the surrounding areas got dumped on by a freak Fall lake effect snowstorm. Since Lake Erie is still quite warm, the conditions for making snow were marginal, and the resulting snow was really wet and heavy. My neighborhood recieved about 2 feet of the stuff. Most of the trees still had leaves on them, which made the trees accumulate a massive weight in snow. Between the rumbles of thunder generated by the lake effect storm, I could hear the gunshot-like sound of trees breaking under the load of the snow. Reports say that about 80% of the trees in the Buffalo metro area sustained damage.

My SportTrac handled the snow great on my way home from work during the storm. I left it parked for three days, since with the number of fallen trees and utility poles, I really couldn't drive anywhere.

A couple of pics for you.

other then the power outages and all the downed tree limbs, it seems like an awesome place to be in the trac! Pics are sweet!

I hope to send similar photos of Poland this Winter. I arrive in January and the average high temp doesn't get above freezing. They also average 80 days of snow cover.
