what is the difference between these two beast...i know obviously one is just a chip and the other is a programmer but has anyone ever tested the two against each other??

There is NO similarity. The JPC is a generic program for assumed upgrades (intake, exhaust), meant to work on all vehicles. Wayne customizes his tuning to your specific upgrades and can tweak well beyond a generic program. Go with Wfoy, well worth the investment.
