Hey guys,

I was out on My 94 Kawi 750SS Jet Ski yesterday and developed a leak in the hull resulting in the engine compartment filling about 1/2 way with water. Needless to say, it wouldn't start. I was able to get it out of the water after about 10 minutes, but now it still won't start.

I pulled the plugs and they were wet. When I pressed the start button with the plugs out, watery gasoline shot out of the plug holes.

How bad is it? New engine time?

Yes, it was hydrolocked; it stopped running unexpectedly while being ridden at half speed. I've removed the spark plugs and pressed the start button for 2-4 seconds approximatley 20 times over 30 minutes to expel the water. I then poured about a tablespoon of 2 cycle oil directly into the spark plug holes and re-installed the plugs. I cranked it a few times to coat the insides with the oil (the water was a fresh/salt mix).

I then repeated the process of cranking without plugs trying to get all the fluids out. There aren't any more fluids spraying out, but it still doesn't want to start. I've left the plugs out hoping it will dry out overnight/tomorrow.
