I have a good friend who is looking into adoption. He and his wife are unable to have children and they very much want a family. We were talking the other day and I couldn't believe what he said about the cost involved, I had no idea. He has been looking into it and at the least it will cost about $20,000 through an adoption agency. While it is worth it for them it will take them quite some time to be financially able to do that. I told him to keep looking that there must be other options. They really want to adopt an infant to experience the whole raising of a child or otherwise they would try to become foster parents through the State and then adopt. It really bugs me that there are so many children, even babies, out there that need a home and here you have willing parents who are good people but not rich and so they cant do it.
