Kicker Comp 10" is a good sub for the box. Very cheap but awesome quailty and sound for the $$$. Also the budget 10" subs from Audiobahn, MTX, Infinity, Polk and many more will fit..

I have the Kicker Comp 10" that ions mentioned and love it. I have it hooked up to an 800W amp and it really gets going with the volume up but doesnt sound like it's going to blow. Solid and crisp sound.

Michael S.....

do you know exactly how much power you are giving that sub? My 10 inch kicker comp vr dvc is only rated 300 watts rms and 600 watts peak. There is no way you could power that sub with 800 watts and not have any problems. How many ohms is it running at?.....Maybe 8ohms which means you arent getting 800 watts out of your amp.

fmarano...

I'm no pro when it comes to stereo systems...I know the sub is rated at 800 watts peak (its a year or two old I believe), but I have the amp turned down a little because I dont want to blow the sub out. I had it installed by a stereo shop so they did all the fine tuning.

fmarano,

i thought it was too little wattage that can damage speakers, and as long as michael doesnt crank his system past "12" he should be fine?

Yup, just got it from a guy here on the board... Chris Miller.

I have about 400 RMS 4 ohm coming from my Rockford Punch 100 DSM...(Mono).... So I've been told to try this...

It's about $40 more.... Don't know much about Phoenix Gold, other than they made wires and connectors and stuff....
