K&N FIPK

I just installed a K&N FIPK on my 2005 Trac. I followed the directions that came with the kit as well as the project listed on the site. The question I have is in the directions that came with the kit it says to listen for any air leaks or other odd noises. I don't hear any noises that sound like somethings loose, but I do hear an odd noise where the actual filter is located. it sounds like air is gushing in...is that a normal sound after installing the kit?

Yeah, the hissing is a good sound. I remember the first day I had an open air filter...my dad said my truck sounded like there was something wrong with it, and I revved it, and he said never mind, lol.
