Leverlift Installation Kit with New Template

This is the instruction sheet that came with LeverLift kit (3
page). I'd cut out the both template. I suggest you make a copy of template
sheet, just incase you should make mistake cutting it out.

Here I lay out the parts that were included in the box that I
received. They use high quality materials and beautifully painted. Few parts
are required to put together prior to installing onto the bed

First step is to open your tonneau cover. In this case I opened
rear half (tail gate side). We are installing LeverLift on the driver's side
of tonneau cover. Instruction calls for cutting out the "hole" on the
template. Here I use Elmer's school glue stick to hold the template. This
way you don't have to fight with wind or accidentally moving the template.
After drilling, template can be removed and glue will easily wipe off clean
using wet towel.

If you line up the hole with template and align evenly across the
top and use of yardstick, you should see 90-degree bracket are right on
target with template.

Here I use electric drill to drive the screws that was supplied
with the kit. You should just drill enough depth to make starting hole. Then
I remove the template from the cover and wipe it clean.

Make sure to hand tighten rest of the screws. Once you reached the
bottom of screw, don't over tighten or else it'll strip and you're being in
big trouble.

Here you assemble the "T" bracket. These bracket fit just one way.
Use ½" box end wrench and make sure to use washers that supplied with this
kit. Do not over tighten just enough to move freely but not too loose.

Now that you have your "T" bracket done. You now install ball
studs on each ends using 7/16" box end wrench and ½" box end wrench. Nuts
are placed inside of bracket.

Before you attach "T" bracket, you need to unlatch the tonneau
hold down pin on the driver side and swing away it out of your way.

You need to take out two screws that require use of torx
screwdriver #T-27. I wasn't too sure what'll happen when taken out two at
same time, so I took off one from bottom and attached the "T" bracket
loosely on the bottom. Make sure to face "T" downwards. Next you remove the
top screw and attached onto top bracket. Note; don't push hard on the
screws. Seem like something loose on the inside.

Now that everything is attached. You only have two pieces left to
attach. Your gas filled struts. Be sure that fat end goes to ball socket end
on the tonneau cover. Note you must have the locking cap off to able to
attach the struts.

By holding the tonneau cover almost halfway down, attach other
end of the ball socket onto the "T" bracket. Drop the tonneau cover down in
lock and closed position and do the same on the other halve of tonneau cover
and the gas filled strut. At this time you have your cover in closed
position.

Now is the moment of truth! To open, you simply use your key to
unlock the tonneau cover. If it too tight to turn the key and unlock, press
corner of tonneau cover while turning the key. This should open the top. Do
the same on the other halve of cover. Remember that pressure is on the
driver side of cover. Therefore, there is a small amount of uplift pressure.
You must apply pressure to the corner to open the cover.

This is a front cover been open. Note: You cannot open both covers
at same time.
