Some of you may find usefull, others may not.

Hottest day of the year, 103 ambiant

70 MPH freeway:

Intake air temp: 109

rad temp: 198

tranny temp: 170 (thx PML)

Got bogged down in stop and go 10 mins later;

IAT jumped to 180 (ST was not happy)

rad temp went to 203

tranny went to 175

just some observations, hate this heat, ready for winter:lol:

It's unseasonably hot out here in Northern California where Bill & I live. We don't usually get up into the 100's until June or July. Plus we did not get enough rain fall or water content in the snow this year, and some places have started water rationing already.

Bill, good info to post for everyone. You might look into buying or building a true outside air intake, that will help some on the heated air going into the engine. The factory thermostat is set to open fully at 200 or more. As far as the tranny temp that sounds pretty good if that is the temp of the coolant in the tranny.Good Post._Ron
