This "little guy" was on my parents porch. If ya'll don't know, I'll tell you that raccoons can be very vicious, and our little Pomeranian dogs would be lunch for this guy, so we needed to get rid of him. We let him go back into the yard (we are surrounded by oak trees).

Anyway, he scared the crap out of me when I first noticed him.

Josh,

You did the right thing. Just leave him alone. His ancestors have probably been living there long before your parents have. They're on HIS back porch.

He's just looking for some easy food. If he doesn't find any, he'll move on.

LUNCH !!!!!!! They taste great with honey garlic BBQ sauce !!!!

LOL. I had one of those critters crawl down my chimney and get into my house. Made a big mess.

My wife likes to put out food for the birds, bread type food. Well we get Possums, Racoons, Squirrels, Field Mice and Birds showing up all the time since we are very close to the woods.

The Possum freaked me out that thing was huge.

This iguana was living in a huge tree in my backyard until "Wilma" brought the tree down two weeks ago.

It was 42 inches long from head to tail. It is around somewhere, I didn't find it when I cut the tree up.

At least it wasn't no skunk like the one we got lurking in our backyard from time to time. I put up chicken-wire on all the gates but to my dismay I seen the darn thing jump up a tree and scurry away like a squirrel. I was cool with it passing through as I'm sure it wouldn't spray me unless I instigated it, but that thing was trying to nest under the patio.

Racoons are vicious critters for sure! Don't do like my friend Audie did back in Jr High days. He caught one caged it and took it home. I warned him. He said "nah it's friendly"

Next day he called up yelling " the X@%#R thing killed my 900.00 bird!" He tried to go after him with a baseball bat...that thing attacked him. Audie ended up getting rabie shots.

I think he learned to listen closer to females that day.:lol::lol:
